  • Williamstown into Grand Final
    A brilliant four quarter effort has put Williamstown into its first ever Division 1 Grand Final. The match was played in perfect conditions at Bill Lawry Oval with Williamstown home by 36 points over Therry. The win secured promotion to Premier C in 2015.

    Whilst the Seniors are straight through to the Grand Final, the Under 19s and Reserves have it all to play for this weekend in their respective Preliminary Final matches against Marcellin and Prahran respectively. Under 19s at Ted Adjani Reserve Saturday 6 September and Reserves at Trevor Barker Oval on Sunday 7 September 2014.

    There was a terrific turn out following the WRFL grand finals at the CYMS clubrooms. Unfortunately, WJFC went empty handed in 2014, however the U11A's and U12C's put on a great show and were gallant in defeat.

Williamstown 16.10.106 def Therry 10.10.70

Williamstown played four quarters of finals football to win their way into the Grand Final with a strong win over the previously undefeated Therry. A solid team effort was what was asked for and what was delivered in perfect conditions at Bill Lawry Oval. Danaher was best for Willy and John and Jack Gray each bagged 4. The Club now has two weeks to prepare for the eagerly awaited grand final. Plenty of work still to do. The win secured promotion to Premier C in 2015.
